SHOWCASE NATION BASEBALL
PARTICIPANT RELEASE, WAIVER OF LIABILITY, ASSUMPTION OF RISK, AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT

READ CAREFULLY BEFORE SIGNING

The legal name of the organization is Showcase Nation Baseball, which includes any event, camp, clinic, showcase, tryout, or program held, sponsored, or conducted by Showcase Nation Baseball or any affiliated coach, staff member, or representative (collectively referred to as “Showcase Nation”).

1. Acknowledgment and Inspection

In consideration of being permitted to participate in any baseball showcase, camp, practice, evaluation, private or group session, or any other Showcase Nation activity (collectively “Activities”), including access to any restricted area (areas not open to the general public), the undersigned participant and/or the parent or legal guardian of a minor participant agrees as follows:

• The participant will inspect all facilities and equipment prior to participating.

• If any condition is believed to be unsafe, the participant will immediately notify a Showcase Nation coach or event organizer and refuse to participate until the condition is corrected.

• If at any time the participant feels unsafe, he/she will take all necessary precautions to avoid unsafe areas and will cease participation immediately.

2. Assumption of Risk

I/We fully understand and acknowledge that:

a) Participation in Showcase Nation Baseball events involves risks and dangers of serious bodily injury, including, but not limited to, permanent disability, paralysis, or death.
b) These risks and dangers may result from the actions, inactions, or negligence of the participant, others, or the Releasees named below.
c) There may be additional risks not known or not reasonably foreseeable at this time.
d) The potential social and economic losses or damages resulting from these risks could be severe.

I/We voluntarily assume all such risks and take full responsibility for any losses, costs, or damages incurred as a result of participation in the Activities.

3. Release and Waiver

I/We hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue Showcase Nation Baseball, its directors, officers, coaches, staff, agents, employees, representatives, affiliates, volunteers, event organizers, or facility owners/managers (collectively “Releasees”) from any and all liability to the undersigned, my/our personal representatives, assigns, heirs, and next of kin for any claims, demands, losses, or damages on account of injury, including death or property damage, caused or alleged to be caused in whole or in part by the negligence of the Releasees or otherwise.

4. Indemnification

I/We further agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Releasees from any loss, liability, damage, or cost, including attorney fees, they may incur as a result of participation in the Activities, whether caused by the negligence of the Releasees or otherwise.

5. Acknowledgment of Danger

I/We acknowledge that baseball activities, including showcases, camps, and practices, are inherently dangerous and involve the risk of serious injury, death, and/or property damage. Injuries may be compounded or increased by negligent rescue operations or procedures of the Releasees.

6. Severability

Each of the undersigned expressly agrees that this Release and Waiver is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the state in which the Activities are conducted. If any portion of this Agreement is held invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain in full legal force and effect.

7. Understanding of Agreement

I/We have carefully read this Release and Waiver of Liability, Assumption of Risk, and Indemnity Agreement. I/We fully understand its terms and understand that substantial rights have been waived by signing it. I/We sign freely and voluntarily without inducement, assurance, or guarantee and intend this signature to be a complete and unconditional release of all liability to the greatest extent allowed by law.

8. Media Release

I hereby grant Showcase Nation Baseball and its designated media team (including photographers, videographers, and social media or content partners) full permission to capture, use, and publish photographs and video recordings of myself or my child during the event.

I understand and agree that:

• Media may be used for event promotion, marketing, highlight reels, websites, social media platforms, and other promotional purposes related to Showcase Nation.

• Media may also be shared with colleges, recruiters, sponsors, and affiliated organizations for the purpose of athlete exposure and event promotion.

• I waive any right to inspect or approve the finished media or materials where my/my child’s likeness appears.

• I waive all rights to compensation for the use of these photographs or videos.

• All rights, title, and interest in the media shall belong exclusively to Showcase Nation and its media partners.

By signing or submitting electronically, I confirm that I am the parent/legal guardian of the athlete (if under 18) or that I am the athlete (if 18 or older), and I consent to the above terms.

9. Liability and Contact Consent

Participation in this event requires acceptance of the inherent risks involved in athletic activity. By registering, you acknowledge these risks and agree that Showcase Nation Baseball and its affiliates are not liable for injury, loss, or damages incurred during or as a result of participation.

By providing your contact information, you consent to being contacted by Showcase Nation or its partners by mail, phone, text, or email using automated technology, even if the provided number is listed on a state or national Do Not Call list. Showcase Nation does not sell your personal information to other companies, and you may withdraw consent at any time.
